peek! is proud to present the ONE camera! this camera was commissioned specifically for our first birthday, the most important milestone to date. peek! was established first and foremost as a photography store, a one-stop shop for analogue photography. but our dreams grew and we knew that we couldn’t stop there, so we set out to out-do ourselves, all within this eventful first year. this time last year, we proudly presented superheadz as our first showcase at peek!. this year we have outdone ourselves, collaborating with 2 big names, zouk and the impossible project to bring to you an exhibition of internationally epic proportions! we’ve managed to get world renown artists to be a part of our show, including celebrity photographers, big in-house names and more. all this because they share the same love for photography that we have and are trying to spread in singapore. it is with much love that we dedicate this camera to our dear peek-lets, without whom we would never have reached this amazing milestone. it's been a great year, full of ups and downs, but you guys never gave up on us and kept coming back for more! we can never thank you enough for believing in us, and for chasing the same dream that we are chasing; spreading the word, the love and the passion for analogue photography, whether it’s with new old-school inventions or refurbished classics like this very special fed 5b from red army camera. so keep shooting and stay part of the ‘one shot, one movement’.
xoxo, peek! see you soon (:

About the Camera:
The FED 5B is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced by the FED factory in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov from 1977 until 1990. It came equipped with the Industar-61 L/D 55mm f/2.8 standard lens incorporating the rare-earth element lanthanum and a focal-plane shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/500s + B, flash sync up to 1/30s and a self-timer.
The FED 5B is an updated FED 4, with cleaner lines to the top, a pop-up rewind knob in place of the thumb-wheel, a hot shoe, restyled film reminder/frame counter and meter rings, and the meter scale repositioned and converted from a match-needle to an EV-scaled device where the user manually transfers the meter reading to the calculator.
Manufactured from the late '70s until the end of the Millenium, this crooner is definitely more than just a pretty boy. Re-covered in Peek!'s limited edition print, this is an unique beauty.
